How is BOXIO constructed?
The classic dry urine-diverting toilet consists of three components: the separating insert, the solids container and the urine canister. Other accessories include, for example, compostable bags and grit for the solids to be perfectly equipped for the upcoming trip with your van.
Disposal after use
In the garden:
Urine can be diluted with water in a mixing ratio of 1:10 and poured. The solids can then be composted. Care should be taken to ensure sufficient composting before the soil is returned to the beds.
On the move:
Use chemical toilet disposal stations for urine on the move. The solids can also be disposed of well packaged in residual waste (such as baby diapers). Pay responsible attention to the place of disposal. The urine canister can be emptied in toilets, as no chemicals are added here.

Materials
Our urine-diverting toilet is made of easy-to-clean plastic. We have paid attention to sustainability in our purchasing and development and work with Euroboxes manufactured in Germany, which are made from recycled plastic. The separating insert is also produced in Germany from a regenerated material.
